The London Illustration Fair

I was so excited to exhibit for the first time last weekend at The London Illustration Fair The event was so busy with lots of lovely people stopping by to chat and say hi! I had a great time selling prints, cards pins and Patches to lots of new faces! I also enjoyed cutting out some of my signature paper cut leaves to Jungle-up my stand! If you'd like to catch me at another market I'll be at Renegade craft fair in the Truman Brewery off Brick Lane this Saturday and Sunday; the 9th & 10th of December and my final market is a Crafty Fox Night market at the Geffrye Museum on the 14th! Perfect events for shopping indie this Christmas!

Nathalie Du Pasquier

I have been a fan of Nathalie du Pasquier's work since I came across her designs for the Memphis group in the 80's which still feel so modern and relevant today. After seeing some of her paintings at Frieze last year I was excited to see her solo show at Pace gallery which did not disappoint. Her eye for colour and composition is unique and the way she played with colour and architectural elements in the space and in her new sculptures was really unexpected. Read and see more here

Screen printing!

So my new obsession is Screen printing! As a treat to myself I attended Print Club London's 'Deluxe' Workshop in January in which I produced a two layer tiger print, edition of ten, see the video below!

I have since become a Print Club member so that I can continue on using their facilities and making limited edition art prints! It is so great to break away from the computer and start mixing inks and learning something new!

So during my membership this month I've been working on a new five layer print called 'Explorer's Greenhouse' it imagines all the horticultural samples that may have been brought back by an explorer to their Victorian Hothouse as well as including some stuffed animals! See a slideshow of all 5 layers being built up below!

I had an incredible weekend and it was the perfect end to the year! I feel so grateful to everyone who has supported me and encouraged me in my creative endeavours! I hope that next year can be half as challenging and rewarding as this year has been! Looking forward to new collaborations new designs and new exhibitions! Here is a snap of my stall at the Design Museum!
